President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. met with Liberian students and community members in Morocco during the 17th MEDays Forum in Tangier. The gathering included Liberian scholars from various Moroccan universities and institutes, as well as professionals and community leaders living in Morocco.

The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to discuss their academic progress, living conditions, and how they are contributing to Liberia’s development. President Boakai praised the students for their commitment to education and encouraged them to continue focusing on their studies and personal growth. He highlighted the role of education in preparing a new generation of skilled leaders for Liberia.

Students thanked President Boakai’s administration for restoring their allowances, which had previously been delayed. They also requested an increase in these allowances due to the effects of a harmonization policy implemented by the previous administration that impacted their financial stability.

President Boakai acknowledged their concerns and stated his government is interested in improving support for Liberian students studying abroad. Members of the Liberian community expressed appreciation for the President’s direct engagement and his ongoing attention to their welfare.
