President Boakai appoints officials to key roles in Liberian government

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has announced several new appointments to key government positions in Liberia. The appointments were made across various public institutions.

Dr. Augurie E. Stevens has been named Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS). For the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) Board of Directors, Mr. Albert N. Forh was appointed as Chairman and Ambassador Christian Neufville as a member.

Mr. David Nya Dolo has been appointed Commissioner with statutory responsibility for Education, Training, and Information at the Independent National Commission on Human Rights of Liberia (INCHR). Additionally, Mr. Ignatius Saymel Neepaaye will serve as Liaison Officer for the establishment of the National Rail Authority.

President Boakai stated: “The newly appointed officials will serve with diligence, integrity, and commitment to advancing the national interest and improving the delivery of public services.” He also encouraged them “to bring their experience and professionalism to bear in the discharge of their duties for the benefit of the Liberian people.”

Some appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate according to legal requirements.
