President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has appointed Cllr. Jallah A. Barbu as the Executive Director of the Office of the War and Economic Crimes Court (WECC) in Liberia. This decision was made based on a recommendation from the Search Committee, which highlighted Cllr. Barbu’s extensive experience and qualifications for the role.

Cllr. Barbu’s career includes significant positions such as Head of the Law Reform Commission and Dean of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law at the University of Liberia. President Boakai expressed confidence in Cllr. Barbu’s ability to fulfill his duties with dedication and commitment to justice.

The President emphasized his expectation that Cllr. Barbu will demonstrate “diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty” in his service to Liberia.
