President Boakai announces new leadership appointments across Liberian public institutions

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has announced several new appointments to key government institutions in Liberia. The appointments are in accordance with the Constitution of Liberia.

At the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), Cllr. Emmanuel A. Tulay, Sr. has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors.

For the Central Agricultural Research Institution (CARI), Dr. Henrique F. Tokpa has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors, while all other board members have been reappointed to complete their current terms.

The National Bureau of Veterans Affairs (NBVA) will see Atty. (Major) Jackson N. Morlu serve as Director General, Major Fred Isaac Sumo as Deputy Director General for Administration, and 1LT. Isaac T. Wallace as Deputy Director General for Veterans Affairs.

President Boakai extended his congratulations and encouragement to those appointed, stating: “The President extends his best wishes to the newly appointed officials and urges them to serve with integrity, diligence, and commitment to national service.”
