His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone arrived in Türkiye to attend the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The event, hosted by Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs from April 11 to 13, 2025, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, aims to address the theme, “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”

The forum serves as a platform for global leaders, policymakers, and other influential figures to tackle urgent diplomatic issues. Topics include the future of Gaza, global terrorism, modern conflict resolution, Africa’s role in global politics, food insecurity, and the importance of education along with the participation of women and youth in sustainable development.

Upon arrival, President Bio was greeted by Antalya’s Governor Hulusi Şahin, who relayed President Erdoğan’s warm welcome. While in Türkiye, President Bio is expected to engage in bilateral meetings with other world leaders, facilitated by official diplomatic channels and Sierra Leone’s Embassy in Ankara.

President Bio’s involvement in the forum highlights Sierra Leone’s commitment to global diplomatic discussions.
