The second edition of The Presidency newsletter has been released, providing updates on the activities and initiatives led by President Julius Maada Bio. This issue focuses on the progress of the Feed Sierra Leone program, which aims to improve food security in the country.

According to the newsletter, President Bio received the Year-Two Implementation Report for Feed Sierra Leone during a Presidential Council meeting. He also oversaw the launch of 30 new seed varieties and inaugurated a National Seed Testing Laboratory as part of efforts to boost agricultural productivity.

The President demonstrated his involvement in these initiatives by participating in symbolic harvests at a 60-hectare maize farm and at two of his own farms, where cashew and rice were harvested. These actions are intended to reinforce his commitment to advancing the Feed Salone program.

On the international stage, President Bio attended the Aqaba Process Heads of State and Government Summit in Rome in his capacity as Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority. At this summit, he called for greater international cooperation to address terrorism in West Africa. “We’re also excited to introduce a new photo gallery section, offering powerful images of a President steadfast in his mission to feed Salone!” stated SHMCU.

The newsletter concludes with an invitation for readers to stay informed about ongoing developments from the nation’s leadership.
