President Barrow recently met with the Gambian community in Ghana as part of his ongoing efforts to engage with Gambians living abroad. The meeting provided an opportunity for the diaspora to discuss their concerns and for President Barrow to strengthen ties with them.

During the gathering, members of the community expressed appreciation for the development projects initiated by Barrow’s administration. They also highlighted challenges they face, including issues related to rent, tuition fees, and the banking system.

President Barrow thanked the community for their warm reception at the airport and their willingness to meet with him. He stressed the importance of upholding democratic values and urged them to follow local laws. He committed to providing support where necessary to assist Gambians living abroad.

Among those present were notable figures such as Student Union representative Muhammed Lamin Ceesay, Modou Jagne, National Association of Gambian Diaspora representative Buba Dukureh, and Babucarr Njie from the Regional Maritime University.
