The position of Chairperson of the Immigration Control Board will be open starting March 13, 2025. According to the Immigration Ordinance 2011, this role is appointed by the Governor and involves handling applications for various permits and licenses.

Candidates must have St Helenian Status, and certain individuals such as Justices of the Peace, Immigration Officers, and members of the Legislative Council are not eligible. The successful candidate will receive an annual retainer fee of £1,200 paid quarterly in arrears. Additionally, there is a mileage allowance of 77p per mile for personal vehicle use related to Board meetings held monthly. A monthly payment of £6.65 will also be provided for internet costs.
