The newly appointed CEO of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), Ambassador Marie Antoinette Rose Quatre, recently met with President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone. During her visit to State House, Ambassador Quatre praised President Bio for his “visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to governance.” This meeting took place as Sierra Leone hosted the South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development forum.

Ambassador Quatre expressed her gratitude for President Bio’s support in her new role. She stated, “Your leadership and dedication to good governance have been an inspiration, and I look forward to working closely with Sierra Leone in my new capacity.”

President Bio welcomed the APRM CEO and emphasized his administration’s dedication to strengthening governance systems and promoting sustainable development. He remarked, “We are committed to enhancing the lives of our people through effective governance. Your role as CEO of the APRM is critical, and we stand ready to support you in ensuring the success of your mission.”

Highlighting the importance of the APRM, President Bio said it plays a crucial role in fostering transparency and accountability across Africa. He noted, “The APRM is a vital tool for self-assessment and peer learning. It enables us to build on our strengths and confront our challenges with clarity and purpose.”

Sierra Leone’s hosting of this regional development event reflects its increasing influence in such efforts. The forum gathers representatives from developing nations to exchange knowledge, experiences, and strategies aimed at achieving mutual growth and sustainable progress.
