Liberian president travels to Nigeria for ECOWAS session

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., will travel to Abuja, Nigeria, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, to attend the 65th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority & Heads of State and Government.

Members of the President’s official delegation include Honorable Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dean of the Cabinet; Honorable Boima S. Kamara, Minister of Finance; Honorable Amos Tweh, Managing Director of Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC); and Honorable Morley Kamara, Economic Advisor to the President. The President will also be accompanied by his support staff, protocol officers, assistants on communications and media, security personnel, and personal aides.

The delegation is expected to return to Liberia on Monday, July 8, 2024. During President Boakai’s absence, Honorable Sylvester M. Grigsby, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff, will chair the Cabinet and work in consultation with the President.
