The Liberian delegation, headed by Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, began its participation in the 2025 World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings with discussions involving the International Monetary Fund Mission Team and IMF Executive Director Ouattara Wautabouna. The talks focused on Liberia’s ongoing commitment to reforms, ensuring reliable data provision, and the implementation of both the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and Resilience Sustainability Facility (RSF).

The annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank take place every October. These gatherings serve as a platform for global leaders, finance ministers, and stakeholders to address major economic topics such as financial stability, poverty reduction, climate change response, and institutional reforms.
