President Joseph Nyuma Boakai of Liberia welcomed three new ambassadors to the country during a formal ceremony at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia. The newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary presented their Letters of Credence, marking the beginning of their diplomatic missions.

The diplomats included Daniel Graces Carabali from Colombia, Dominique Michel Favre from Switzerland, and Mohamed Abdellahi Khattra from Mauritania. President Boakai expressed appreciation for the strong bilateral relations Liberia maintains with these nations and reaffirmed his dedication to fostering mutual cooperation and development.

Highlighting Liberia’s longstanding relationship with Colombia, President Boakai spoke about its historical importance and potential for increased collaboration, especially in investment opportunities. Ambassador Carabali echoed this sentiment by acknowledging Colombia’s deep-rooted connections with Africa and committing to strengthen bilateral ties.

Regarding Switzerland, President Boakai acknowledged its significant contributions to developing Liberia’s water systems. He expressed interest in advancing economic and trade partnerships during his welcome to Ambassador Favre. In response, Favre emphasized the importance of maintaining and expanding existing ties for mutual benefit.

In his conversation with Mauritanian Ambassador Khattra, President Boakai stressed the values of mutual respect and international cooperation. Ambassador Khattra expressed gratitude for Liberia’s warm reception and pledged to uphold diplomatic protocols while working towards enhancing bilateral relations.

These engagements underscore Liberia’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and exploring avenues for shared growth and development.
