President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. of Liberia has announced a series of nominations for ambassadorial positions in various countries and international missions. The appointments affect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and involve postings to nations including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, and Liberia’s Permanent Mission in New York.
The individuals nominated are as follows: Al Hassan Conteh for the United States; Genevieve Kennedy for the United Kingdom; Teeko Yorlay for France; Edward Appleton for Japan; Brahima Kaba for Kuwait; Mohammed Kanneh for Qatar; Ali Sylla for Senegal; Joseph Johnson for Morocco; Musu J. Ruhle for Ghana; and Lewis Brown for the Liberia Permanent Mission in New York.
Additional appointments will be disclosed upon receipt of Diplomatic Agréments. These nominations require confirmation by the Liberian Senate before taking effect.
President Boakai emphasized that appointed officials should “continue to demonstrate diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in service to country.”
