Liberia has been reaffirmed as eligible for a Second Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact, according to an announcement congratulating President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. The recognition is attributed to the administration’s focus on good governance and fiscal discipline.
Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan played a key role in the process. He said, “It has been a long and bumpy journey, but we never lost faith. We worked hard, and we have delivered for the president and the people of Liberia.”
The reaffirmation is seen as an endorsement of Liberia’s current development agenda under President Boakai’s leadership.
