Medical device development company iNeedMD Holdings Inc.of New York City has entered into a distribution arrangement with Clifton Africa Ltd. for the sale and marketing of the EKG Glove™ and related products in several West African countries.
Clifton’s focus is on serving unmet medical needs in Niger, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, the Republic of Benin, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana, where cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 cause of death in adults older than 30.
The initial term of the agreement is 12 months, with minimum product purchases totaling $1.5 million.
The electrocardiograph (EKG) is often used as a screening tool to evaluate potential cardiac damage in a hypertensive patients. The EKG Glove™ is a single-use product that helps decrease the likelihood of infection and detect cardiac damage in patients.
