Governor Phillips departs for meetings and Joint Ministerial Council

His Excellency, Governor Nigel Phillips CBE, left St Helena on Saturday, 16 November 2024. During his time away, the Governor is scheduled to meet with senior officials and attend the Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) alongside Chief Minister Julie Thomas.

Governor Phillips is expected to return to St Helena on 23 November 2024.

In his absence, Tasha Harris, Head of the Governor’s Office, has been sworn in as Acting Governor until he returns.
