The Board of Directors of GOIL PLC has started an onboarding and familiarization program with visits to important operational sites in Accra. The initiative is intended to reinforce the company’s focus on innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
The program began on August 20, 2025, with a tour of GOIL’s new Head Office complex at Dzorwulu. Ing. Denis Nii-Komiete Amui, Head of Operations, led the board through the facility and provided detailed briefings about its features. The new office building is over 90% complete.
The complex was designed with green and sustainable elements such as underground parking, three separate power supply systems—national grid, standby generators, and solar panels—and three water sources: a mechanised borehole, connection to the Ghana Water Company grid, and rainwater harvesting. These measures are part of GOIL’s plan to support Ghana’s transition in the energy sector.
Board Chairman Nana Philip Archer commented on the progress: “the facility will stand as a landmark of GOIL’s growth, efficiency, and ambition.” He also stated that the project aligns well with the company’s strategic direction.
Later that day, board members visited the Jetty/Joint User Hydrant Installation (JUHI) at Kotoka International Airport. There they learned about JUHI’s importance in providing safe and reliable aviation fuel supply. Management highlighted that these tours help deepen board members’ understanding of GOIL’s assets and improve decision-making for long-term stakeholder value.
GOIL plans to continue this onboarding program with more visits to installations throughout Ghana as it works toward its mission in the country’s energy sector.
