Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson met with traders at Takoradi’s Market Circle as part of consultations leading up to the 2026 Budget presentation. The meeting aimed to gather feedback from stakeholders and ensure that the upcoming budget addresses the needs of ordinary citizens.
Dr. Forson emphasized the importance of these discussions during his visit to the Western Region. He stated, “It was clear that our efforts to stabilise the economy are beginning to bear fruit,” adding, “Many spoke of easing prices, renewed confidence, and a growing sense that the tide is finally turning in their favour.”
The government is conducting these engagements to incorporate public input into its economic planning process for 2026. The Finance Minister will present the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
