Erin Energy Corp. recently acquired a 3D seismic survey off the coast of Gambia from Polarcus Ltd., which used the Polarcus Alima, its ultra-modern 12 streamer 3D/4D seismic vessel, to compete the study.

The survey encompassed approximately 398,581 acres of Erin Energy’s A2 and A5 blocks, which are approximately 28 miles offshore.

The company is currently processing and analyzing the data, and expects to have results by the second quarter of 2016.

“We are pleased to report that the acquisition has been completed on time and within budget,” Erin Energy Chief Operating Officer Segun Omidele, said. “We look forward to receiving the processed seismic data, which will allow us to build upon our understanding of the prolific plays in this emerging basin, and will assist our team in determining exploration activities on the blocks. We would like to thank Polarcus and our contractors for their professional and efficient work.”

Erin Energy Corporation is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on energy resources in sub-Saharan Africa. For more information about the survey, visit www.erinenergy.com.
