The 2nd Indonesia – Africa Forum (IAF II) took place in Bali on September 2-3, 2024. This forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation between Indonesia and Africa, following the inaugural event in 2018. The theme for this year’s forum was “Bandung Spirit for Africa’s Agenda 2063,” emphasizing shared values and principles that aim to establish a robust, inclusive, equal, and sustained relationship between the two regions.

The event was inaugurated by President of the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Joko Widodo and saw participation from several African Heads of State and Government, including H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana; and H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia.

H.E. Damtien Tchintchibidja led the ECOWAS delegation at the forum. During her remarks on the first panel discussion titled “Update and Prospect for Cooperation between ECOWAS and Indonesia,” she highlighted shared aspirations as well as current and potential areas for future cooperation.
