The Vice-President of ECOWAS presented the strategic plan for economic and regional integration at the Planning and Cooperation Days in Conakry, Guinea, on June 25, 2025.
Her Excellency Ms. Damtien Larbli Tchintchibidja, Vice-President of the ECOWAS Commission, participated in this first edition organized by the Guinean Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. The event gathered notable figures, economists, and representatives from regional and international institutions under the theme “Reinventing planning and cooperation for an emerging, inclusive and resilient Guinea.”
Speakers shared their expertise on planning and cooperation for Guinea’s development, focusing on its SIMAMDOU 2040 project. Among them were Ms. Damtien Larbli Tchintchibidja; Ms. Nialé Kaba, Minister of Economy, Planning and Development of Côte d’Ivoire; Mr. Donald Kaberuka, economist and former President of the African Development Bank; Mr. Lionel Zinsou, economist and former Prime Minister of Benin; Mr. Souleymane Cisse, former Minister of Planning of Guinea; and Mr. Issa Diaw from the World Bank Group in Guinea.
The event concluded on June 26 with a closing dinner accompanied by artistic entertainment.
