The Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Nyarko-Ampem, has inaugurated a new Governing Board for the Ghana Incentive-Based Risk-Sharing System for Agricultural Lending Ltd. (GIRSAL). During the event, Nyarko-Ampem congratulated the board members and emphasized GIRSAL’s important role in transforming Ghana’s agricultural sector. He also called on them to remain dedicated to achieving results, noting that agriculture is central to the government’s development plans.
Prof. Richard Jinks Bani, who will serve as Board Chairperson, expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his nomination and gave assurances about the board’s commitment. “The board will work to make agriculture more inclusive,” he said. Prof. Bani added that members are ready to serve with integrity and fulfill their responsibilities.
The newly appointed GIRSAL Board includes Prof. Richard Jinks Bani as Chairperson; Mr. Nicholas Afrifa as Chief Executive Officer; Dr. Kwesi Korboe; Ms. Alberta Akosa; Mr. Agbesi Kwadzo Dzakpasu; Mr. William Wilson Asbleke; and Ms. Faustina Effah-Boadi.
