AfDB President Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina will visit Liberia following an invitation from President Joseph Nyuma Boakai. During his visit, Dr. Adesina will address a high-level forum consisting of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and Assistant Ministers; Heads and Deputies of State-Owned Enterprises, Commissions & Agencies. The theme for the event is “Liberia, Arise and Shine!” President Boakai will honor Dr. Adesina for his significant contributions to Africa’s and Liberia’s development.
The event will conclude with the launch of the Youth Entrepreneurship Investment Bank (YEIB). This project is sponsored by the AfDB and other partners to support youth-led enterprises in Liberia.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Theater of the EJS Ministerial Complex.
