As previously announced, HM Customs and Immigration Services will adjust their opening hours due to specialized training sessions. This is in accordance with the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) Migrant Agreement Memorandum of Understanding. The training will span over six weeks, necessitating a varied schedule.

For the week starting May 12, 2025, the office hours are set as follows: Monday from 09:00 to 15:00 and Tuesday from 11:00 to 15:00 for both businesses and individuals handling items or shipments. The office will remain closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

During this period, the reception desk will not be staffed, email access for staff will be limited, and cashier services may experience delays. It should also be noted that there will be a daily lunch break closure from 13:00 to 13:30.

HM Customs and Immigration Services stated, "We appreciate your understanding and patience as we invest in the professional development of our team to fulfil the requirements of this important agreement." They assured that weekly opening hours would be communicated regularly.
