Metso and Gecamines signed a contract Thursday for a complete crushing and screening plant that will reuse pre-existing equipment and align with specific French regulations.

Metso is an industrial company that works in the areas of oil, gas and mining industries, and Gecamines is a major company in the cement industry of Senegal that has two plants.

This is the second contract that Metso and Gecamines have together. Previously, a 2011 contract involved a full crushing and screening plant.

The current contract includes a supply of the primary and secondary crushing and screening stations as well as a fully engineered design. The stations will be fitted with new crushers and screens, and tertiary crushers and conveyors will be recycled and used in the new equipment.

Additionally, the contract includes a C11125 jaw crusher and retrofitting two HP200 crushers that will be used with the tertiary station in the production of 250 t/h of aggregate.

Dust suppression systems will be in alignment with French regulation and will line up with the requirements of the quarry industry.

The amount of the contract has not been made public. The order of the contract was made at the end of the fourth quarter of last year.
