A group of Saudi Arabian business people, led by Abdulrahman Al Zamil, chair of the Council of Saudi Chambers, recently visited Nigeria.
The delegation met with Muhammadu Buhari, president of Nigeria, to discuss how to enhance economic cooperation and relations between the nations. Buhari pointed out that Nigeria offered a variety of incentives for foreign investors and encouraged the Saudis to research them.
Buhari added that Nigeria's mining, agriculture, livestock, infrastructure, transportation, telecommunications and energy sectors were growing consistently and were ripe with investment opportunities.
Al Zamil said Saudi leaders were making bilateral trade relations enhancement a priority and that visits, such as the one he led, were important as they increased knowledge and understanding. He also pointed out that diversifying imports and exports was necessary to meet customer demand and keep economies going in the right direction.
The leaders noted that their countries shared the obstacle of plummeting oil prices but said that, with communication and cooperation, both nations could get through the hard time.
