Chinese Ambassador Gu Xiaojie was in Nigeria Tuesday to meet with leaders and recognize the 45th anniversary of China and Nigeria's diplomatic relationship.
During his visit, Xiaojie met with Nigerian Minister of Communication Adebayo Shittu in Abuja. The leaders discussed a number of topics, including communication and bilateral relations between their nations.
Xiaojie thanked Shittu for continuing to make communication between Nigeria and China a priority; he reminded Shittu that keeping communication lines open had in the past resulted in the nations sharing high-tech ideas that led to development opportunities for both countries.
The leaders expressed their continued commitment to share ideas about technology transfer, investment, financing and other areas.
