Clavister partners with Defis & Strategies Group on network security products

In an effort to make its network security products more accessible to consumers in French-speaking West Africa, Swedish company Clavister has entered into a distribution agreement with Defis & Strategies Group.

Defis works with many other African companies, including firms in Burkina Faso, Togo, Senegal, Congo, Cameroon and Ghana. Under the terms of the agreement, Defis will oversee the sale and distribution of Clavister's Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and gateway security solutions to the market, eventually offering the complete line of Clavister products.

"The African continent is currently encountering many security challenges and, as a result, our customers are becoming increasingly security conscious,” Mahoula Dosso, director of Projects and Internal Control for Defis & Strategies, said. "As a result we are seeing high demand for cyber-security solutions, in particular NGFWs and the quality of the Clavister solution and level of support that they offer really impressed us. We are confident that this partnership will prove to be beneficial for all parties concerned and excited to start delivering Clavister’s solutions to the market.”

Defis will be assisted with getting Clavister products on the market by Ivory Coast-based IT solutions consultancy firm ELETECH-PRO.

"We had recognized that the African cyber-security market is really set to take off in the next five years and had identified that we had to look to increase our presence in the region as soon as possible to position ourselves at the forefront of the market,” Stephan Schmidt, Clavister sales director, said. "With Defis & Strategies, we have definitely found a partner that matches all of our expectations, and are looking forward to working with them to ensure this partnership is a success."
