Tagpay honored with Kalahari Award for Best Technology Enabler Platform

Digital banking platform TagPay, a service of French company Tagattitude, recently received the Kalahari Award for Best Technology Enabler Platform during the Remittance and Mobile Money Expo in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Kalahari Awards honor organizations that have made a positive impact on Africa's remittance services and mobile financial services sector. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of expert judges. Any company in the remittance services industry with at least one active deployment or ongoing partnership in the Africa market is eligible.

Tagattitude CEO Yves Eonnet called the award "a great honor."

"The award recognizes the impact that TagPay’s technology can have in building new financial service ecosystems in Africa," Eonnet said. "We have built TagPay, bringing the best technology to the table, in order to help financial institutions reach their financial inclusion goals.”

Tagpay allows customers to accept and make payments on mobile devices. Transactions, such as money transfers, salary disbursements, bill payments and point of sale payments, can be conducted through Tagpay.

“We congratulate all of the award winners today and it is our sincere hope that the honor will inspire better innovation in 2016 and beyond,” Emmanuel Okoegwale, principal associate of the Mobile Money Expo, said.
