MTN Group and mobile marketing company BigTime recently signed a two-year partnership to provide MTN customers with a variety of phone-based marketing opportunities.
MTN reaches more than 233-million customers across 22 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. BigTime will provide mobile subscriptions and value-added services, including smart apps, text alerts and various promotions.
"We have entered a very mature stage of our global business, capitalizing our solid track record and relationships in diverse geographies," BigTime CEO Dimitris Papazisis said. "Our General Framework Agreement with MTN Group comes to seal our momentum for the next two years and in one of the most interesting emerging markets - Africa. Of course the additional opportunity that this agreement gives us in the Middle East and Europe adds value to our existing footprint."
