Yapi named Ivory Coast's ambassador to Ethiopia

African Union Commission (AUC) Chair Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma welcomed Koffi Evariste Yapi Monday as the Ivory Coast's new ambassador to Ethiopia and permanent representative to the African Union.

Zuma said she welcomed Yapi's input on AUC projects and hoped it would be a valuable learning experience for him. She will be watching to see what Yapi will bring to the table as the 26th African Union Summit, slated for late January, draws closer.

Yapi remarked that maintaining good communication and relations with the AUC and its members will be one of his top priorities; he looks forward to making the voice of the Ivory Coast heard on various global issues.
