Several West African institutions were included in the list of Global Trade Review's (GTR) 2015 Africa Leaders in Trade Awards.
GTR is a major provider of news and analysis of events related to global trade, commodity and export and supply chain finance markets operating offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.
The GTR 2015 Africa list was compiled using data from a poll of stakeholders in the African trade finance market.
West African winners included Export Credit Insurance Corp., Best Export Credit Agency in Sub-Saharan Africa; Norton Rose Fulbright, Best Development Bank in Sub-Saharan Africa; African Development Bank, Best Development Bank in Sub-Saharan Africa; Barak Fund Management, Best Alternative Financier in Sub-Saharan Africa; First Bank of Nigeria, Best Trade Finance Bank in West Africa; Standard Charter, Best Trade Finance Bank in Ivory Coast; Ecobank, Best Trade Finance Bank in Ghana; and Zenith, Best Trade Finance Bank in Nigeria.
Nairobi, Kenya-based African Trade Insurance Agency was named GTR's Best Political Risk and Trade Credit Insurer for 2015, and the Best Political Risk and Trade Credit Broker was CGNMBATI.
