Infill tests at Blox's Mansounia gold-mining site in Guinea yield positive results
Company officials said exploration could soon transition to open-pit mining at the Mansounia project.
The mine is owned by Blox Inc., a global green mining, energy and technology company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada. The company has many gold and diamond-mining projects underway in West Africa.
Blox retained Spiers Geological Consultants to conduct infill sampling for the Mansounia project. Gold was found in several areas and at several depths in the mine.
"The finalization of the second round of infill sampling has drawn this program to an end, with the strength of the outcomes achieving and exceeding expectations," Blox CEO Robert Spiers said. "The consistency of the mineralized intercepts illustrates the continued strengthening of the near-surface mineralized trend."
Spiers is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.
