"FIFTY," the sole film from Nigeria and one of only five films from Africa to be among the 238 films chosen for screening at the 2015 BFI London Film Festival this past fall, will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning Dec. 28.

"FIFTY," the story of four African women, is set in Lagos, Nigeria. The film was directed by Biyi Bandele.

The film's main characters are TV star Tola, whose marriage was doomed from the start, thanks to a family secret; obstetrician Elizabeth, whose preference for younger men has estranged her from her daughter; Maria, who has an affair with a married man that leads to pregnancy; and Kate, whose battle with an illness leads to religious obsession.

The film was produced by EbonyLife TV.

Netflix, the world's largest Internet TV network, has more than 65 million members in over 50 countries.
