Canadian company Blutip Power Technologies, which serves many of the world's largest mines and petroleum companies, is now providing its Advanced Universal Controllers (AUCs) to African mines, and the company said on Thursday that it recently landed its first  African customer, one of West Africa's largest gold mines.

AUCs are engine-control devices that enhance efficiency by saving fuel and reducing emissions on equipment and fleet vehicles. The devices do not compromise the output of  engines and reduce the carbon footprint of the company on whose vehicles they are installed. AUCs also can provide analytics services.

“Blutip is excited to deploy our fuel-saving solutions to the continent of Africa, expanding on our installed base in North America, Latin America and Australia,” Chuck Knott, president and CEO of Blutip, said. “We are committed to working across Africa to offer customers significant fuel-cost savings with the Blutip AUC and to provide real-time fuel-management analytical tools across their HME fleets.”
