Money-transfer service Ping Express offers Nigerians living in the U.S. a way to send and receive money conveniently and securely, to and from loved ones in Nigeria, free of charge for transactions under $150.

Through the mobile app or website, Nigerians who live in the U.S. can put money into any bank account or buy mobile phone airtime in Nigeria immediately and free of charge. Ping Express also offers lower transfer fees than other companies, such as Western Union and Moneygram, and carries no hidden fees.

"We at Ping Express are excited about the launch into Africa's largest economy," said Anslem Oshionebo, president and co-founder of Ping Express. "It is awesome to be in a position to provide an alternative that will benefit Nigerians to support their loved ones by guaranteeing better exchange rates and low transfer fees.

"There are many families who depend on support from their loved ones, and being in a position to provide a platform that allows such transactions to be completed in a convenient manner while putting more money in their bank accounts is a significant milestone," Oshionebo said. "Ping Express does not only provide a superior service; it provides a lifeline to many. Our service enables immigrants to help themselves by sending money to support family and friends to buy food, medicine and pay for education."

All that's needed to use Ping Express is a bank account or debit card; the service can be used from any mobile phone, tablet or computer. Transfers made using Ping Express are available for immediate use. Text messages are sent to senders and recipients when a transfer is completed successfully.
