MainOne, Microsoft representatives speak at seminar

During the Main One/Microsoft Enterprise Seminar, representatives from the two software companies spoke about the need for data center co-location and enterprise cloud solutions for businesses Monday in Lagos, Nigeria.

The theme of the seminar was “Innovative Business Models: Achieving Improved Efficiency with Data Center Services.”

“Our Cloud Infrastructure as a Services ensures quick provisioning of ICT solutions for businesses, thus improving their time to deploy new applications and services," Main One CEO Funke Opeke said. "This affords our customers lower deployment costs and streamlined expenses to enable them to focus more on their core business."

Opeke pointed out that Tier III rated MDX-i is the sole data center co-location facility in Nigeria that has received the PCI DSS and ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications.

“MainOne is a member of an elite list of Cloud OS Network partners who deliver Microsoft-validated solutions and geographic specialization," Business Group Director (cloud and enterprise) for Microsoft Nigeria Oluyomi Alarape said. "Together, Microsoft and Main One have partnered to implement an Enterprise ready infrastructure platform in Nigeria that includes Azure-enabled scenarios."
