AAK releases 2014-15 sustainability report

Development company and vegetable oil and fats provider AAK released its 2014-15 sustainability report Oct. 8, giving an overview of the firm's sustainability commitments, activities and achievements.

“We have made some great improvements for a number of key resource efficiency parameters, which is particularly impressive given that we have shifted to more specialized and tailor-made products that, in general, require more resources per produced unit," Arne Frank, AAK Group president and CEO, said.

The report also indicated major progress on AAK's palm oil commitments and a successful women's group program that is taking place in Burkina Faso.

AAK operates 18 production facilities and sales offices in more than 25 countries and employs more than 2,500 workers.
