Russia and Senegal discuss cooperation possibilities

Representatives of Russia and Senegal recently met to discuss the potential for deeper cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was held during the 70th session of the UN General Assembly on Oct. 1 and featured Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Mankeur Ndiaye, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad.

The representatives confirmed their governments are open to increased political dialogue and to expanding commercial negotiations and investment relations between the two nations.

The two representatives also spoke of the importance of countries to follow established rules regulating mutual relations worldwide and highlighted the crucial role the United Nations serves to solve global crises.
