Tempus Applied Solutions will provide airlift service in north and west Africa for the U.S. Africa Command Special Operations Command Africa division of the U.S. military over the next five years.
The new agreement was announced April 1.
"This mission for AFRICOM is a focal point and substantial growth area for Tempus' international operations," Tempus CEO Scott Terry said. "We are committed to developing the fleet and personnel to accommodate AFRICOM's needs."
The agreement gives Tempus access to bid on a variety of AFRICOM jobs as they become available in
Algeria,
Burkina Faso,
Ghana, Mali,
Nigeria and Senegal.
Tempus can begin offering its services in May.
