African Union Commission Chairperson
Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma
recently visited Russia to discuss Russian-African relations.
Zuma held out Africa as a viable investment opportunity for Russia with high potential returns, and Russian officials agreed to consider increasing trade and investment. Russian officials also pledged to support the African Union in developing local solutions for issues and to host African students for training in science, technology, engineering and math.
The visit to Russia was Zuma's second as AUC Chair.
