The Nigerian Young Professionals Forum (NYPF), in partnership with Heritage Bank, recently announced the launch of the YESGrant that will fund more than 1,000 Nigerian entrepreneurs and students with seed capital for their businesses.

A recent kickoff event at the Four Points Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria, was attended by dignitaries including representatives from the Nigerian University Commission and National Youth Service Corps.

"I have built businesses from the scratch and I understand the challenges people face and that is why I am optimistic that if given the necessary support, young Nigerians will not only grow the Nigerian economy, they will completely revolutionize it,” NYPF Chair Moses Siloko Siasia said.

The grant provides business training to up to 600 aspiring young entrepreneurs and financing to low income and disadvantaged students by helping with tuition.

The managing director of Heritage Bank, represented by head of marketing strategy Obioma Emenike, noted that that he was optimistic that the grant could boost growth in the country and help entrepreneurs develop their networks.
