Accenture to provide credit service options for African customers
Accenture has been providing services to more than 40 industries in 120 countries and is now hoping to create a more simple and faster credit provision process for African customers.
One specific example of their future service options is Edcon Holding Limited, Accenture Customer Credit Solutions' very first client.
Edcon stands as one of the principal non-food retailers in Africa. Having signed a 10 year outsourcing agreement with Accenture, the company hopes to improve their customer services as well as increase its number of clients.
Accenture will play a part in the evolution of Edcon through its credit checking and account activation, service, sales and more.
"Through Accenture Customer Credit Services, we will help businesses and retailers across Sub-Saharan Africa become more digital with their credit services and provide customers with multiple banking options," Accenture South African Retail Practice Lead Adrian Bertschinger said.
Bertschinger added that through the partnership with Edcon, Accenture hopes to cement a solid reputation for itself on the continent.
