U.S. Department of State holds press conference on AU Summit

The U.S. Department of State held an online press conference Feb. 10 on the African Union (AU) Summit that recently took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

Conference participants were able to witness the discussions that took place between the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Linda Thomas-Greenfield and USAID Assistant Administrator for Africa Linda Etim.

The conference was held through LiveAtState, which is an interactive platform used by the U.S. Department of State. Journalists, worldwide, were encouraged to submit their questions to receive answers from policymakers within the United States. 

In addition to the topic of the AU Summit, the conference also discussed U.S. development and diplomacy in Africa.

The conference was held in English, with French and Portuguese interpreters.
