First Oxford Business Forum Africa emphasizes “unreasonable Africa”

The first Oxford Business Forum Africa will soon hold sessions themed “Unreasonable Africa” to encourage people to discover unique solutions, opportunities and innovations on the continent.

The goal of the forum is to encourage business people in Africa to act on their bold visions for the future.

Africa is expected to be one of the greatest worldwide economic powers in the near future. It has a wealth of natural resources, a stabilizing political system and countless young people. Adding boldness and innovation to the potential will only help the continent to grow.

Africa’s potential is found in people who start, consolidate and build businesses. Using examples of other leading business people, the forum is able to help attendees understand how business works. Speakers at the forum will explain how market diversity and consumers work in business and how innovations can help them to improve their efficiency.

Because the forum is scheduled to be live streamed, viewers from around the world will be able to learn from the presentations and discussions. They can also use Twitter to submit their questions.

More than 30 speakers from various startups, corporate companies, financial institutions, governments and NGOs will attend the event, including Trevor Manuel (former Finance Minister of South Africa), Tara Fela-Durotoye (founder and CEO of House of Tara), Dolika Banda (independent consultant and former managing director of the CDC Group) and Doug de Villiers (CEO of Interbrand Africa), among others.
