Employment website Indeed launches Nigeria site

Indeed, a website for job seekers all over the world, is continuing to draw more visitors, adding eight new country sites including the West African nation of Nigeria.

The other new country sites are Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Morocco, Panama, Ukraine and Uruguay. With these additions, Indeed now serves job seekers in 60 nations.

At the beginning of this year, Indeed.com, which lists jobs for a wide range of industries, had more than 200 million unique visitors over the first month of the year -- a record number.

“Indeed continues to expand its global community of job seekers,” Indeed Senior Vice President Paul D’Arcy said. “In response to further labor market tightening in 2016, people looking for jobs have more control of their destinies, and many are actively looking for their next position. With over 16 million postings and over 10 million global company reviews, Indeed is uniquely positioned to help job seekers find the job that’s right for them.”

With the expansion, Indeed's global workforce has grown to more than 2,400.

“These are impressive numbers, but the most important measure of success for Indeed is the number of job seekers who have used Indeed to find the right opportunity,” D’Arcy said. “We’ll continue to build on Indeed’s mission bringing employers and qualified candidates together.”
