African Petroleum Corp. Ltd was removed from the National Stock Exchange for Australia (NSX) Monday prior to NSX's opening.
The company continues to be listed on the Oslo Axess stock exchange (APCL).
African Petroleum operates as an oil and natural gas exploration company that has operating licenses in West Africa and offshore. It reports approximately 28,448 square kilometers across its 10 licensed operations in Liberia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, the Gambia and the Cote d’Ivoire.
The company's assets consist of hydrocarbon basins in the Transform Margin in West Africa and Atlantic Margin.
African Petroleum initially announced that it would suspend shares from quotation on the NSX and shareholders voted to do so at the general meeting of shareholders that took place on Dec. 21, 2015; a majority holding approximately 58 million shares approved the de-listing during the general meeting.
At press time, the company’s shares of the Norwegian stock exchange is currently down by 5.33 percent with the current price at approximately $.16 per share.
Stephen Paul West and George Jens Pace were elected as directors for the company.
