Sierra Leone represented at South Korea-Africa relations forum

A forum on South Korean-African relations, sponsored by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the South Korea-Africa Future Strategy Centre was held in Seoul on Sept. 22.

Sierra Leone was represented at this forum by Omrie Michael Golley, Sierra Leone’s ambassador to the Republic of Korea. Having as its theme "Overview of the Past and Outlook on the Future," the forum explored Korea's diplomatic and business relationship with African countries and sought to explore ways in which this relationship could be nurtured and sustained in the future.

The daylong session featured contributions from senior officials of the Korean government, including officials from the ministries of trade, agriculture, information and communications technology, energy, and foreign affairs, as well as senior academics from Korea's leading universities and institutions.

Invited guests included African heads of mission in Seoul, Korean government ministers, leading officials of public and private corporations, academics and students.
